Ajinomoto CELLiST Korea Conducts Seunggicheon Environmental Cleanup Volunteer Activity in Collaboration with Yeonsu-gu District Office

Practicing ESG Together with the Local Community... “We Will Continue Sustainable Sharing”

Ajinomoto CELLiST Korea, a specialized cell culture media company, announced that it conducted an environmental cleanup volunteer activity along Seunggicheon in collaboration with the Yeonsu-gu District Office in Incheon on the 11th.

Employees took part in plogging and removed invasive plant species, such as Japanese hop, along a 3-kilometer stretch of the urban ecological stream—from Dongmak Bridge to Yeonsu Bridge—contributing to ecosystem preservation and helping to create a cleaner, safer walking environment for the local community.

A company official stated, "As a company headquartered in Songdo, Incheon, we are honored to engage in environmental protection activities in collaboration with the local community." They added, "We will continue to put sustainable sharing into practice as part of our ESG management efforts."

Ajinomoto CELLiST Korea, which owns the global cell culture media brand ‘CELLiST’, has drawn attention by successfully localizing cell culture media for biopharmaceuticals for the first time in Korea—based on over 30 years of accumulated technological expertise. The company not only develops and manufactures animal cell culture media, but also offers contract manufacturing services, playing a key role in advancing core foundational technologies in the bioindustry.

In addition to its recent environmental cleanup efforts, Ajinomoto CELLiST Korea actively engages in various social contribution activities focused on the Incheon area. The company practices ESG management in collaboration with the local community through donations and volunteer work with organizations such as the Han-Gaji Single Parent Family Association, Namdong Disabled Welfare Center, Incheon Briquette Bank, and Bapsang Community.
